Who pays the mortgage broker?
In Portugal, there are no direct brokerage fees for the client. PORTUGAL MORTGAGE receives a commission from financial partners when recommending a client. This process is entirely transparent, meaning you benefit from expert mortgage advice at no additional cost.
Can I use a bank abroad?
Securing financing through a foreign bank can be highly complex, as they cannot take collateral or property guarantees in Portugal. As a result, most banks abroad cannot provide a traditional mortgage for Portuguese property. The only available solution is a loan secured against a debt-free asset, though this option comes with higher costs and certain limitations.
